How to Vote for Mike Bravo

Who is eligible to vote in the VNC Elections?

Anyone over 16 who lives, works, or owns property in Venice (90291), and regardless of U.S. Citizenship status or criminal record, is eligible to vote in the Venice Neighborhood Council elections. Unlike the in-person voting scenario in previous VNC elections, this election’s voting will be done via mail. We have til the last day of May to request a ballot and June 9th to send to send it in so time is of the essence.

This is how you vote:

1. Request a ballot (right now) by either web form application OR filling out a hard copy application which you can then mail, email, or fax along with your appropriate documentation to the city clerk. Identification items to have handy:
   • if you live in Venice: you need your ID or Drivers License with your Venice address is all you need
   • if you work in Venice:  you need your ID or other official identification along + a paycheck stub, or  W-2 form,  or letter from employer, etc.
   • if you own property: you need your ID or other official identification along + a mortgage statement, or tax or  insurance statement, or similar.
   • if own a business: you need your ID or other official identification along + a business license, or vendor invoices, or business tax registration, or similar
   • if you’re a high school student: 16 and over and have an ID/DL showing you live in Venice (90291) you can vote for all candidates. If you are a student 16 and over but do not live in Venice, you may only vote for the community-interest candidate. 
2. Wait for and Receive your ballot
   • Ballots don’t get sent out til May and it should take less than a week for you to get it
3. Fill out your ballot
4. Mail your ballot
